Giving Thanks for Soccer Camp Success

Thank you for all your hard work, volunteers!

It's in the books! Another successful Faith Lutheran Soccer Camp has come and gone, but the friendships and connections we made during those four days still continue. If you weren't able to make it out to Faith to witness this popular, annual community event, you really missed out! Picture a sea of 150 K-6th graders running around on the fields behind church. Picture a swarm of over 60 blue-shirted staff supervising, shepherding from place to place, distributing snacks, teaching invaluable lessons from God's Word, refereeing, and coaching dribbling and passing and shooting. It was a sight to behold how smoothly the twelve teams transitioned from outside to inside and devotion to warm-ups to snack to lesson to scrimmage. Yet even more amazing than that was the energetic, welcoming attitude everyone displayed...even when when the humidity pressed down and the thermometer climbed up into the mid 90s! Thank you to all who participated by sending your children to Soccer Camp, by bringing tasty food to the end-of-camp BBQ, or by giving up your time and sweat to coach or teach that week. God promises that his Word will not return to him empty, but will accomplish for him the purpose for which he sent it (Isaiah 55). You may never see the results of your gospel ministry at Soccer Camp, but rest assured that it made a difference! May God bless you and your family with a safe, fun summer!
